The "Housing Policy" Study Prize for 2025 has been announced.

The German Tenants' Association (DMB) and the IRPUD of TU Dortmund jointly announce the "Housing Policy" Study Prize again to honor outstanding master's and diploma theses as well as dissertations in this field of study.

Rising rents and resulting tenant protests have once again brought the housing question and housing policy onto the political agenda. This is not surprising, as housing is an essential human need. Housing is situated in a tension between social and economic goods and is embedded in processes of urban development.

The prize aims to support young academics and can be awarded to graduates and doctoral candidates from disciplines related to housing policy, especially architecture, spatial and urban planning, geography, social sciences, political sciences, economics, housing management, and real estate management.

The prize is awarded through a nomination process. Nominators include all university professors and academic staff of universities.

Submissions must be made by September 30, 2024.
