CLIP-C - Climate Information Portal for Copernicus

Project duration: 12/2013 to 11/2016

The research project Climate Information Portal for Copernicus (CLIP-C) is carried out as part of the European Copernicus programme of the European Commission. The main task of the three-year EU project is to create an Internet portal that provides scientists as well as political and private decision-makers in bundled form ('one-stop-shop') with access to climate-related data such as satellite data, measurement data from weather stations and projections of climate models. The portal should also contain data and projections regarding ecological, social and economic effects of climate change as well as user-friendly tools for individual analysis of the data. The main task of the IRPUD is the creation of interactive online modules for scenario-based exploration, the comparison and ranking as well as the aggregation of climate impact indicators. To this end, the IRPUD cooperates within the university with the Faculty of Statistics (Prof. Dr. Ligges).
