DAZWISCHEN Conference in Düren

The DAZWISCHEN project recently presented results from the past three-year research and development phase at the Haus der Stadt Düren on January 20, 2023.

What challenges and opportunities does the withdrawal from lignite mining pose for the largest opencast mining region in Europe? How can the transformation to a livable and sustainable region succeed? The DAZWISCHEN project has addressed these and other questions. On January 20, 2023, results from the past three-year research and development phase were presented at the Haus der Stadt Düren. Together with the practical partners, the county of Euskirchen, the city of Düren and the Zukunftsagentur Rheinisches Revier, as well as stakeholders from regional planning and local initiatives, highlights of the project and ongoing processes in the region were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the participants looked ahead to the upcoming two-year implementation phase of the project. Further information can be found at: www.dazwischen.tu-dortmund.de
